It started with red dirt, a detour, and a deep belief that rural kids deserve the same opportunities to thrive.

Paraburdoo has been close to Aileen's heart since 2013, when she arrived on a four month detour with WA Country Health. What was meant to be a short-term rural contract quickly turned into something more. She fell in love - with the town, the red dirt, the strong sense of community, and a Tassie boy who would eventually become her husband. After nearly a decade, two boys, and a change of surname later, Aileen and her family gave up FIFO life and returned to Paraburdoo in 2022.

In 2024, Thrive Together Therapy was born in response to a growing need for local occupational therapy services. What started with one OT quickly grew: a Therapy Assistant came on board shortly after, and by the end of 2024, a Speech Pathologist had joined the team and more recently a Counsellor and 2 more Therapy Assistants - creating a true rural and remote therapy service.

At Thrive Together Therapy, our goal is simple but powerful: to deliver high-quality, family-centred therapy for children and young people, no matter how remote their postcode.

We take a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach, recognising and celebrating each child's unique differences. We believe that when families feel supported and children feel understood, they thrive - and that's exactly why we're here.
